Madonna Eyelift

Using the latest fractional laser resurfacing technology, Dr. Hensel is trained to implement this new procedure which is safe and effective with minimal downtime. It is designed to take away dark circles and wrinkles, tighten upper and lower eyelid skin and help to elevate drooping eyebrows. It has a good number of the benefits of a surgical eyelift without the risks and downtime. The only problem it doesn't address is bulging fat pads. As metal eye shields are used during the procedure, there is no risk of injury to the eyes. Only a numbing cream is applied to the eyelids for anesthesia and 3-5 sessions are recommended at 2-3 week intervals.

With fractional laser resurfacing, the laser beam is broken into microscopic columns of laser light. When the beams strike, they leave normal surrounding skin areas intact so the outcome is usually quick healing. These columns of laser light take away (or ablate) old, damaged collagen and elastic fibers so that new fresh tissue can grow into these channels. As this occurs, wrinkles and pigmentation are removed, skin tightens and the eyelids are rejuvenated.*

FAQ's

The Madonna Lift is a new type of laser eyelift. It utilizes an innovative fractional CO2 laser which creates tiny microscopic channels in the tissue so that new collagen can grow in to rejuvenate the skin.

It dramatically reduces the appearance of dark rings and wrinkles while tightening eyelid skin and elevating drooping eyebrows.*

It works by utilizing a new fractional CO2 laser technology. Laser beam-like columns are created in the skin while leaving surrounding tissue intact. These beams eradicate damaged collagen and elastic fibers so that fresh skin with renewed elasticity can grow back in its place. Because only a "fraction" of the skin is affected, healing is typically very quick and virtually painless. Therefore, it mimics the results previously realized only through eyelid surgery, without the risks and downtime!

If you have wrinkles around the eyes, loose eyelid skin, crow's feet, dark circles or drooping eyebrows, you are a candidate.

Age is not an issue. It depends on the changes around the eyes.

Yes, in most cases, it works very well on darker skin. However, to be on the safe side, we do test spot the eyelid area first to be sure there is no change in pigmentation.

No, but one should wear sunscreen after the Madonna Lift as is the case after any laser treatment.

The number of sessions depends on the individual changes present. On average, most people need between 3-5 sessions.

We usually space sessions at 2-3 week intervals

Most people are a little red and puffy for a day or two. However, one can apply make-up right after the treatment to hide redness.

As new collagen is produced, we expect the results to last for at least several years, but as the technology is so new, it is difficult to be sure at this point.

Botox can be injected after the Madonna Lift to help prolong the results.

Most people are a little red and puffy for a day or two. However, one can apply make-up right after the treatment to hide redness. You will need to wear sunscreen diligently to protect against exposure from the sun as this can cause hyperpigmentation and minimize the effects of the procedure.
